Job summary

Elmwood School in Rushall, WS4 1EG is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 2/3) to support teaching and learning across the school. You will work under teachers and senior staff to deliver learning activities for individuals or small groups, assist with planning and resource prep, and help supervise classes as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold NVQ Level 2/3 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent), with strong numeracy and literacy skills and good IT ability.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent qualification).
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good IT and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned learning activities for individuals or small groups inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist with lesson planning and preparation of learning resources.
• Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences.
• Maintain a calm, engaging learning environment and support pupils with challenging behaviour.
