Job summary

Pulford CofE VA Lower School in Leighton Buzzard is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs. The role involves working 1:1, indoors and outdoors, and promoting the safety and wellbeing of the child.

You will build positive relationships with pupils with SEN, have GCSEs in Maths and English, and hold NVQ TA/Level 2 or equivalent. ELSA training is preferred.

Qualifications

• GCSE in Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent.
• NVQ TA/Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience of working with children (paid or unpaid), preferably in education.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and wellbeing of the child and promote a positive learning environment.
• Work 1:1 with the child, including in outdoor environments.
• Build relationships with children with Special Educational Needs and support learning.
