Job summary

Breadsall Hill Top Primary School is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning within the classroom. The post involves assisting the class teacher in planning work for individuals and groups and delivering prepared learning activities.

The role is part-time (20.5 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday), term-time only, and permanent. The salary is Grade D point 7-12 (£27,274-£29,542 FTE per annum) with an actual salary of £12,997.43 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistant or accepted equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS checks are required.

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning in the classroom.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning work programmes for individuals and groups of children.
  • Deliver educational activities and prepared programmes of learning.
  • Support small intervention groups and help raise attainment.
  • Maintain safeguarding and welfare of pupils in line with Transform Trust policy.

Breadsall Hill Top Primary is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and hard-working Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in the classroom to maximise the participation of our children. The role will include assisting the class teacher in the planning of work programmes for individuals and groups of children and delivering educational activities and prepared programmes of learning.

The successful applicant will be required to meet the qualification and person specification requirements for the Level 2 Teaching Assistant post, including a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or accepted equivalent.
