Job summary

John Whitgift Academy in Grimsby is looking to appoint two Teaching Assistants Level 2 to join our academy in as soon as possible on a part time, permanent basis. You will work under the instruction/guidance of teaching staff to undertake work to enable access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

We are a rapidly expanding academy with a strong focus on outcomes for students aged 11-16, offering ongoing CPD and a supportive environment

Your new role

As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. You may carry out work in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.

Behaviour in our academy is very good with a relentless focus upon learning and aspiration.

In addition, we are fortunate to have some outstanding facilities that help to further enhance the quality of teaching and learning, such as, an Engineering block, 2 full size swimming pools and a 207-seater cinema.
