Job summary

The Bishop Fraser Trust invites applications for an HLTA Foundational Skills Tutor. The role supports students with literacy and numeracy, delivering high-quality interventions within a 37-hour week during term time plus two additional days.

The post is a permanent contract, with competitive salary scales listed (£31,022 - £34,434 SCP 17-23, actual salary £26,177.46 - £29,058.63). We emphasise CPD, inclusive education, safeguarding and collaborative culture in a £36 million new-build

  • Has the ability and willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role.
YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:

To raise the standards of literacy and numeracy by providing high-quality intervention and targeted support for students who require additional help with functional skills. The postholder will work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team to deliver evidence-informed programmes that improve students' handwriting, reading and numeracy, enabling them to access the wider curriculum and achieve their full potential.
