Job summary

Broadoak Academy in Weston-super-Mare seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 1 to support access to the curriculum and foster a positive learning environment. You will work with individuals and small groups under the guidance of teachers, promoting inclusion, concentration, and confidence.

The role is permanent, 37 hours per week, term-time plus inset days, with an actual annual salary of £22,947–£25,010. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in working with children and young people
• Commitment to inclusion and ensuring every student feels valued
• Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
• Ability to engage and motivate students in one-to-one or small-group settings
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and qualifications such as Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning
