Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Leigh, supporting KS1 pupils and collaborating with the class teacher.

The role starts in October on a full-time basis; ideal candidates will have Level 2 TA qualification, experience in primary settings, DBS Update Service and right to work in the UK, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Enhanced DBS via Update Service and a right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Working 1-1 with children needing additional support.
  • Providing pastoral support to children who may need extra help.
  • Contributing to the creation of a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Helping to assess pupils' progress and keeping accurate records.

Teaching Assistant - Leigh

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis at a Primary School within the Leigh Area working in KS1. The role will start in October on an ongoing basis. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support the learning and development of our children across key stage one.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working 1-1 with children needing additional support..
  • Providing pastoral support to children who may need extra help.
  • Contributing to the creation of a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Helping to assess pupils' progress and keeping accurate records.
  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs.
  • Flexible to work across different year groups
  • Role will include a lunchtime duty
Essential Requirements:
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and a right to work in the UK
Desirable Requirements:
  • Knowledge of phonics and early years learning.
  • Experience working with children with SEND.
  • Experience using ICT to support learning.
