Job summary

Frome Community College is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the Pastoral Team. The role involves supporting teaching staff to raise achievement, helping students access learning, and promoting inclusion in a busy 13–19 Upper School setting.

The position is 32.5 hours per week during term time with inset days, starting ASAP. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting learners to improve learning opportunities.
• Ability to work with staff to raise standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff to raise standards and support learning.
• Support pastoral team in helping students access learning.
• Provide guidance and coaching to students to improve engagement.
• Work Monday to Friday, 10:00–17:00 during term time and inset days.
