Job summary

Frome College is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the Pastoral Team and help raise standards of achievement for all students. You will work Monday to Friday, 10am–5pm, term-time plus inset days, collaborating with teaching staff to support learning and wellbeing on a Daily basis.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and a commitment to inclusion and equality, with a proactive approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with young people.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
• Clear instructions and guidance; coaching and listening to support learning.
• Promote inclusion and equal opportunities for all learners, including those with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff to raise standards of achievement.
• Support pastoral team in providing a safe, welcoming learning environment.
• Supervise and support students during learning activities and breaks.
• Contribute to a positive school culture and pupil engagement.
