Job summary

Desian Education are partnering with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Runcorn to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant on a full-time temporary basis. The role covers KS2 and focuses on delivering targeted interventions while supporting positive behaviour and classroom engagement.

You will work across the KS2 cohort, providing 1:1 and small group support in Maths, English and Phonics, and assist with other subjects as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary setting.
• Ability to deliver targeted interventions in core subjects (Maths, English, Phonics).
• Support behaviour and engagement to help pupils progress.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the KS2 cohort.
• Deliver targeted core subject interventions (Maths, English, Phonics).
• Support non-core subject interventions where required.
• Work with pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Provide positive and proactive behaviour management.

Desian Education are working in partnership with a collaborative and welcoming mainstream primary school in Runcorn who are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident TA who enjoys working across KS2 and is passionate about helping pupils make progress both academically and socially.

The successful candidate will work across the KS2 cohort, providing targeted support through 1:1 and small-group interventions, alongside supporting positive behaviour and classroom engagement.

The role will involve:

• Supporting pupils across the KS2 cohort
• Delivering targeted core subject interventions, including Maths, English and Phonics
• Supporting non-core subject interventions where required
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Providing positive and proactive behaviour management
• Supporting pupils to remain engaged and focused during lessons
• Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
