Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Enfield for an Interventions Teaching Assistant. The role is a full-time temp-to-perm position starting November 2026, supporting pupils across Reception to Year 2 with targeted interventions.

You will work closely with teachers to deliver literacy, phonics, reading and numeracy support, monitor progress, and report outcomes. The school is part of Attigo Academy Trust and has Good with Outstanding areas in Ofsted.

Qualifications

• Interventions teaching experience in a primary school setting.
• Experience delivering literacy/phonics/intervention programmes in EYFS and KS1.
• Strong understanding of phonics and early literacy development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, nurturing and proactive approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and successful primary school in Enfield for a dedicated and enthusiastic Interventions Teaching Assistant.

Duties as an Interventions Teaching Assistant:

• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
