Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment in Kingston, London is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support classroom delivery in a vibrant school. The role is full-time, 8:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with pay aligned to the national TA scale.

You will work with teachers to support pupils of diverse abilities, including SEND and EAL learners, providing 1:1 or small-group help, assisting with resources, marking, and attendance at meetings and training, while upholding safeguarding and welfare

Qualifications

GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
Experience working with children in an educational setting.
Current DBS check or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring clear instructions and smooth transitions.
Provide one-to-one or small-group support for students, including those with SEND or EAL needs.
Supervise pupils during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and outings, with high behaviour and safety standards.
Assist in preparation of teaching resources, marking of work, and recording of assessment data.
Contribute to pastoral care and promote wellbeing and positive attitudes to learning.
Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions and school events as required.
