Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a vibrant Dorking school. You will assist classroom teachers with delivery, help one-to-one and small-group tasks, and reinforce learning objectives while promoting a positive learning environment.

The successful candidate will have GCSEs in English and Maths, strong organisational and communication skills, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

GCSEs in English and Maths (grade 4/C or above) are required.
Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and support safeguarding policies.

Responsibilities

Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, delivery, and assessment tasks.
Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs, ensuring IEPs are followed.
Supervise pupils during classroom activities, recess, and trips, maintaining safety and order.
Help manage classroom resources, record attendance, and update learning logs.
Encourage student engagement through constructive feedback and motivation.
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies as required.
