Job summary

proviT LTD is partnering with an Alternative Provision in the Midlands to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support learners with diverse needs in a specialist education setting.

The role involves working closely with staff to support learners both inside and outside the classroom, promoting academic and personal development in a structured environment. Training days are included, with a salary range up to £33k DOE.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant qualification and classroom experience.
• Experience working within schools or educational settings.
• Experience supporting learners with behavioural, emotional, SEND, or additional learning needs.
• Strong ability to break down barriers and relate to learners.

Responsibilities

• Support learners 1:1 and in small groups.
• Promote engagement, attendance and positive behaviour.
• Support emotional regulation and pastoral wellbeing.
• Assist with classroom delivery and learning activities.
• Create a calm, inclusive, and structured environment.
• Support educational visits and enrichment activities.
• Maintain safeguarding and learner welfare standards.
• Build positive relationships with young people.
