Axcis Education is seeking caring Teaching Assistants with a care background to support pupils aged 4–14 at a specialist SEND school in St Helens. Immediate or October 2026 start, with full-time or part-time long-term roles. Experience in care or healthcare is welcomed and personal care may be required.
You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist with learning and development, and help manage emotions and behaviour while working with teachers and therapists in a supportive team.

Do you have experience working in care, support work, healthcare or with vulnerable individuals and want to move into education? A specialist SEND school in St Helens is looking for caring and reliable Teaching Assistants to join their team on a long-term basis. Previous school experience is not essential if you have strong transferable skills from a care or support background. The school supports pupils aged 4–14 with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome and complex learning and medical needs.
