Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE 4/C or above or equivalent).
• Experience supporting children and young people with barriers to education.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of learning programmes tailored to individual learner needs.
• Assist with educational activities both in and outside the classroom.
• Build positive relationships with learners while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Promote confidence, independence, self-esteem and emotional wellbeing.
• Encourage positive behaviour and support learners to overcome barriers to education.
• Work closely with teachers, families and external professionals to support learner progress.
• Help learners prepare for next steps, including transitions into further education, training or employment where appropriate.
