Job summary

All's Well School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learners with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will help create opportunities, build relationships and guide young people to progression.

Join a caring team; you will deliver tailored activities, promote wellbeing and work closely with teachers to support learner progress and transitions into further education or training.

Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE 4/C or equivalent).
• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs is desirable.
• Ability to build positive relationships with learners, families and professionals.

Job description

We're looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and play a vital role in supporting learners with social, emotional and mental health needs. This is far more than a classroom support role. You'll help create opportunities, build meaningful relationships and support young people to make positive steps towards their future. The Role

Working alongside teachers and tutors, you'll support the delivery of engaging and personalised educational programmes that meet the individual needs of our learners. You'll provide encouragement, structure and consistency, helping young people engage with learning, develop confidence and achieve their personal goals, while creating a safe and supportive environment where they can thrive. No two days are the same, but every day offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the delivery of learning programmes tailored to individual learner needs.
• Assisting with educational activities both in and outside the classroom.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with learners while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Promoting confidence, independence, self-esteem and emotional wellbeing.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting learners to overcome barriers to education.
• Working closely with teachers, families and external professionals to support learner progress.
• Supporting young people to prepare for their next steps, including transitions into further education, training or employment where appropriate.
• Promoting safeguarding and wellbeing, ensuring concerns are raised and acted upon in line with school policies.
• Contributing to reviews, meetings and learner progress discussions.
• Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive and motivating learning environment.
