Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking a SEND (Complex needs/ASD) Teaching Assistant in Long-Ditton, KT6, Surbiton, for a long-term replacement starting ASAP. The role supports children with special needs in an inclusive setting and offers free CPD and team-teach training in partnership with Empowering Learning.

Hours are 8:15–16:00, with a daily rate of £110–£130. DBS is preferred but the agency can assist in processing one.

Qualifications

• Good organisational skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Empathetic, patient and nurturing approach to children and families.
• Ability to build positive, caring relationships with children.
• Willingness to commit to the school community.
• Knowledge of SEN including ASD, SLD, PMLD is advantageous.
• DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support a child with specific learning difficulties and diverse needs.
• Contribute to an inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to plan and deliver activities.

Teaching Assistant

Empowering Learning is currently looking for a SEND (Complex needs/ASD) Teaching Assistant based in Long-Ditton, KT6, Surbiton. The role is a long-term position starting as soon as possible. Ideally, we're looking for candidates with a valid DBS however, we can assist in processing one should you not have a certificate. We are looking for someone committed, enthusiastic and flexible to join a friendly and professional team. Teaching Assistant - Requirements

• Good organisational skills, as well as flexibility and willing to work as part of a team.
• A passionate, empathetic and patient nature with a nurturing and inclusive approach to children and their families.
• The ability to develop positive and caring relationships with children
• A positive person who can work as part of a dedicated team and is able to offer commitment to the life of our school community.
• The ability to support a child with specific learning difficulties and some understanding and knowledge of different kinds of SEN including ASD, SLD, PMLD
• Recent experience, skills or knowledge of supporting children in a school setting would be an advantage.
