Job summary

Cefn Saeson Comprehensive School in Neath is seeking a dedicated Temporary Teaching Assistant to join Camau, our trauma-informed provision for BESD pupils. The post supports learning, delivers interventions, and mentors students in a range of subjects, with a focus on wellbeing and inclusive education.

The successful candidate will work 37 hours per week for 39 weeks per year, starting 19 October 2026, and contribute to curriculum development through vocational learning opportunities while

**Temporary Teaching Assistant Behaviour/Guidance/Support Level 4****Based at CAMAU in Cefn Saeson Comprehensive school**Start Date: 19th October 2026 up to 31s August 2027 in the first instance, covering a secondment**37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year****Salary: Level 4, Grade 6, SCP 17-22, £27,686 (per annum) (subject to term time****adjustment). The salary stated will be subject to a term time only adjustment****for the commencement of employment outside of the start date of****1st September.**The Governing Body wishes to appoint an excellent and highly committed Teaching Assistant to join the Camau team of staff.Candidates are required to have experience of teaching children with additional learning needs and BESD.
