Job summary

REESON Education in England is seeking a reliable Teaching Assistant to support a specialist provision in Barnsley (S70) from September 2026. The role requires a strong presence, clear direction, and firm support to help pupils stay focused and engaged.

Full-time and part-time roles are available, with a competitive daily rate of 100-130 depending on experience. You will work with dedicated staff, receive ongoing training, and have the chance to make a visible impact in the classroom while

Qualifications

• Experience in schools, SEN, sports, alternative provision, or structured youth settings.
• Demonstrates calm, confident communication with pupils.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour with authority and consistency.
• Ability to make quick, practical decisions under pressure.
• Enhanced DBS certification or willingness to apply through us.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct classroom support and reinforce routines.
• Support learning and reinforce key points.
• Lead and maintain clear daily routines and transitions.
• Monitor pupil engagement and report to teaching staff.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to maintain standards.
