Job summary

Reeson Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a specialist provision in Doncaster (DN4) starting September 2026. The role focuses on providing direct classroom support, reinforcing routines, and applying a confident, no-nonsense approach to help pupils stay focused and engaged.

You'll support learning, reinforce behaviour expectations, and help drive consistency across the school day. A strong presence and calm communication are essential, with an enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain

Qualifications

Experience in schools, SEN, sports, alternative provision, or structured youth settings.
A strong presence with calm, controlled, and confident communication.
The ability to manage challenging behaviour with authority and consistency.
Quick decision-making and practical problem-solving under pressure.
An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through us.

Responsibilities

Provide firm, steady classroom support during lessons to keep pupils focused and on task.
Apply consistent boundaries, structure, and expectations.
Support pupils with work set by the teacher and reinforce key learning points.
Maintain clear daily routines and transitions across the school day.
Track pupil engagement and report directly to teaching staff.
Work closely with teachers and support staff to maintain consistent standards.
