Job summary

REESON Education is seeking a reliable Teaching Assistant for a specialist provision in Doncaster (DN4), starting September 2026. This role requires a strong presence, clear direction, and firm support to help pupils stay focused and engaged throughout the school day.

You will provide direct classroom support, reinforce routines and behaviour expectations, and work with teachers to drive consistency. A solid safeguarding awareness and an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in schools, SEN, sports, alternative provision, or structured youth settings.
• Enhanced DBS with update service or willingness to apply.
• Solid safeguarding awareness and reliable, assertive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide firm, steady classroom support during lessons.
• Reinforce routines, boundaries and expectations.
• Support pupils with work set by the teacher and reinforce learning points.
• Maintain clear daily routines and transitions across the school day.
• Track pupil engagement and report to teaching staff.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to maintain consistent standards.
