Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant / Aspiring Teacher to support primary pupils in Cardiff across KS1 and KS2. You will work with class teachers to promote engagement, development and positive learning, including ALN support where required. This part-time, long-term role offers market-rate pay and ongoing CPD opportunities.

Start Date: September. This position is based across Cardiff schools, with a supportive team and 24/7 consultant assistance for onboarding.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' experience working with children.
• Experience working with children in an educational or similar setting.
• An interest in pursuing a PGCE is desirable.
• Experience supporting children with ALN is desirable but not essential.
• A friendly, positive and child-focused approach.
• A genuine desire to make a difference to children's education and development.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 and work with class teachers to encourage engagement and development.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment in primary education.
• Assist with ALN support where required.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant / Aspiring Teacher to take on part-time, long-term work throughout the academic year across a variety of schools. The successful Teaching Assistant / Aspiring Teacher will support pupils across KS1 and KS2, working alongside class teachers to encourage engagement, development and positive learning, including supporting children with ALN where required.

The successful Teaching Assistant / Aspiring Teacher will have:

• At least 6 months' experience working with children
• Experience working with children in an educational or similar setting
