Prospero Teaching is seeking a Teaching Assistant in Cardiff to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery. The role emphasizes safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil welfare.

Start September with ongoing assignments; the day rate starts at £87.96 and daily hours are 08:30 to 16:00. Prospero offers CPD and in-house training to successful candidates.

Qualificações

• Level 3 TA qualification (desirable).
• Experience in Primary Schools.
• Experience of inclusive classroom practice.
• Understanding SEND requirements.
• Experience supporting learning 1:1 and in groups.
• DBS check and eligibility to work in UK.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out professional duties and provide group/1:1 pupil support.
• Ensure the safety and welfare of pupils.
• Support class teacher in delivering lessons.
• Participate in reading sessions and forest school opportunities.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

Location: Cardiff

Position: Teaching Assistant

Type of work: Carry out professional duties, responsible for group support/1:1 support, ensure the safety and welfare of pupils, small group work, reading, forest school opportunities, support class teacher in delivering lessons

Start Date: September - assignments on-going

Rate of pay : Minimum 87.96 per day

Hours: 08:30 - 16:00

EXPERIENCE

Desirable:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (not essential)
• Experience of working in Primary Schools
• Experience of inclusive classroom practice
• An understanding/awareness of supporting SEND requirements
• Previous experience of supporting learning using a range of strategies, both with groups and on a 1:1 basis
• Drives (not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
