Teaching Assistants - 1:1 SEN Support (Kirklees Primary Schools)
Primary schools across Kirklees are looking for confident, committed Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 SEN support for pupils with additional needs. These roles involve working closely with children who may display challenging behaviour, require emotional regulation support, or need adapted learning to help them succeed in the classroom.
You'll be supporting pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech & language difficulties. The right person will be calm, patient and able to build strong, trusting relationships with children who need consistency and clear boundaries.
Schools are looking for Teaching Assistants who can stay positive under pressure, follow behaviour plans confidently, and work closely with teachers and the SENCO to keep pupils engaged and safe. Experience in SEN, behaviour support or similar settings is highly desirable.
