Job summary

An educational recruitment agency is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant in West Drayton to support pupils with SEMH and ASD. Starting in January 2026, you'll provide targeted support, manage behaviour, and collaborate with teachers to create a safe and nurturing environment. Strong communication and a proactive approach to behaviour management are essential, with Team-Teach training being a plus. Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with ASD, SEMH, or challenging behaviour.
  • Confident and proactive approach to behaviour management.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset.
  • Team-Teach training is desirable.

Overview

Send Teaching Assistant – Primary School SRP (West Drayton)
Start Date: January 2026
Full‑time, 8:30am – 3:30pm, long‑term, supportive environment near West Drayton Station.

Key Responsibilities
  • Targeted support for pupils with SEMH and ASD, managing dysregulation with professionalism and compassion.
  • Behaviour management using de‑escalation and positive reinforcement.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and wider SEND team.
  • Help create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children with ASD, SEMH, or challenging behaviour.
  • Confident, proactive approach to behaviour management.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Strong communication skills and a team‑focused mindset.
  • Team‑Teach training – highly desirable.
