This is a rewarding and hands‑on Teaching Assistant role where no two days are the same. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting secondary‑aged pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), and challenging behaviour. You will work closely alongside the class teacher and wider support team to help students engage with learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence within the classroom. The role will involve classroom support, small group work, and helping to create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment. The ideal Teaching Assistant will be patient, proactive, resilient, and confident managing behaviour, with the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with students. Your support will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes both academically and emotionally.
