Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking a SEND (Complex needs/ASD) Teaching Assistant based in Esher. The role invites a committed, enthusiastic, and flexible individual to join a friendly and professional team dedicated to inclusion and diverse opportunities for every child.

You will support children with SEN, including ASD, SLD and PMLD, build strong relationships, and contribute to a nurturing school community, with DBS if required and some CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• DBS enhanced or up-to-date service required (assistance provided if not)
• Experience with primary education setting is advantageous
• Ability to support a child with SEN including ASD, SLD, and PMLD
• Willingness to work as part of a dedicated school team

Empowering Learning is currently looking for a SEND (Complex needs/ASD) Teaching Assistant based in Esher.

We are looking for someone committed, enthusiastic and flexible to join a friendly and professional team. Requirements

• Good organisational skills, as well as flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team.
• DBS enhanced and up to date service – if not, assistance will be provided.
• A passionate, empathetic and patient nature with a nurturing and inclusive approach to children and their families.
• The ability to develop positive and caring relationships with children.
• A positive person who can work as part of a dedicated team and is able to offer commitment to the life of our school community.
• The ability to support a child with specific learning difficulties and a basic understanding of SEN including ASD, SLD, and PMLD.
• Recent experience, skills or knowledge of supporting children in a school setting is an advantage.
