Job summary

Long-Term Teachers Ltd is seeking a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Dawlish. The role supports learning and wellbeing, working with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and create an inclusive environment.

You will assist with class activities, support pupils with learning and emotional needs, and help maintain a positive classroom. Prior experience is desirable, and a passion for children is essential.

The role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of engaging lessons.
• Provide additional support to pupils who may require help with their learning, communication or emotional wellbeing.
• Encourage children's confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.
• Help maintain a calm, safe and positive classroom environment.
• Support pupils during break and lunchtime as required.
• Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources.
• Build positive and respectful relationships with children, colleagues and families.
• Contribute fully to the wider life of our school.
