Job summary

Long-Term Teachers Ltd is seeking a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Dawlish. The role supports learning and wellbeing, working with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and create an inclusive environment.

You will assist with class activities, support pupils with learning and emotional needs, and help maintain a positive classroom. Prior experience is desirable, and a passion for children is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support children in learning through whole-class, small-group and individual activities.
• Work with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons.
• Provide support to pupils with learning, communication or emotional wellbeing needs.
• Encourage confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.
• Help maintain a calm, safe and positive classroom environment.
• Support pupils during break and lunchtime as required.
• Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources.
• Build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.
