You don't need a Teaching Assistant qualification for this role – what matters most is your experience, your enthusiasm and your passion for supporting children. If you've worked with children in any capacity and have a caring, positive approach, we'd love to hear from you.

Whether your experience comes from schools, nurseries, residential care, youth work, sports coaching, holiday clubs, childcare or community projects, your skills could make a real difference in the classroom.

About the School

This friendly and inclusive primary school prides itself on creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to succeed. Staff work closely together to ensure pupils receive the guidance they need both academically and emotionally.

The leadership team is committed to supporting staff development, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long‑term career in education.

Your Role

Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you'll help children access learning, build confidence and develop key life skills.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils during whole‑class lessons
  • Working with children individually and in small intervention groups
  • Encouraging participation and engagement in learning
  • Supporting literacy, numeracy and creative activities
  • Helping pupils build confidence and independence
  • Assisting with classroom organisation and learning resources
  • Promoting positive behaviour and celebrating children's achievements
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families

Every day brings something new, making this a varied and rewarding role where you'll see the difference your support makes.

You will also be:

  • A confident communicator
  • Reliable and adaptable
  • Positive and resilient
  • Keen to learn and develop your skills

We value practical experience, a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for working with children above all else.

Why Join Protocol Education?
