Job summary

Outcomes First Group is hiring a Teaching Assistant to support pupils at Ryecroft School in Walsall. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access learning and reach their potential, building positive relationships and delivering engaging activities with teachers.

You will promote independence, resilience and social development while supporting emotional wellbeing. Open to candidates from education, care, youth work, childcare, coaching or related fields who are passionate about

Qualifications

  • Able to support pupils 1:1 and in groups with learning access

Job description

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and achieve things they never thought possible. This is far more than a classroom support role. You'll be a mentor, role model and trusted adult, providing the encouragement, structure and guidance that helps young people thrive both academically and personally. Working alongside experienced teachers and a supportive wider team, you'll help create a positive, engaging learning environment where every pupil feels valued, understood and able to succeed. No two days are the same, but every day offers the chance to make a genuine difference in a young person's life. What you will bring

    Ryecroft School has capacity for 60 pupils, opened in September 2024 and caters for pupils with Autism and complex needs.

The school is located in Walsall. Walsall is a market town in the West Midlands County. It is located 9 miles north-west of Birmingham, 7 miles east of Wolverhampton and 9 miles from Lichfield. For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided specialist care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.
