Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a reliable Primary School Teaching Assistant to provide cover across Wakefield and surrounding areas. Roles range from day-to-day absence cover to longer-term placements, depending on availability.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months’ experience in a primary setting, supports EYFS/KS1/KS2, and brings strong communication and behaviour management skills. DBS Update Service is preferred, and help with DBS processing is available.

Qualifications

• 6 months' experience in a primary school.
• Experience supporting EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Confidence supporting teachers with classroom activities and learning.
• Positive, patient and adaptable approach.
• DBS Update Service preferred.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in primary schools across Wakefield?

We re recruiting reliable and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to provide cover across local schools. Opportunities can range from day-to-day absence cover to longer-term placements, depending on your availability.

What we re looking for:

• At least 6 months' experience working within a primary school
• Experience supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Confidence supporting teachers with classroom activities and learning
• A positive, patient and adaptable approach
• A DBS registered on the Update Service is preferred
