Job summary

Horizon Teachers is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Brent, for an ASAP start and a full-time placement. You will work with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, adapting activities to meet individual needs, and promoting positive behaviour in a safe learning environment.

Job description

Horizon Teachers is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Brent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with a strong passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs to join a supportive school team on a full-time basis with an ASAP start.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
  • Supporting pupils with their learning and development
  • Helping children develop their confidence, independence and social skills
  • Implementing individual learning and support plans
  • Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
