Job summary

Lift Tamworth is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our school community and support students in accessing learning, building confidence and reaching their goals. You will work with teachers to foster participation and independence while helping create a positive, safe classroom.

This role offers pathways through Level 3 Apprenticeship and future progression. We value diversity and collaboration, with comprehensive training and benefits.

Lift Schools is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our team and help create an excellent education for every child, every day. About the role

You'll work alongside teachers to support students' learning, helping them participate fully in lessons and develop skills they can use independently. Your role will focus on understanding each student's needs and creating the right conditions for them to succeed. You'll also help build a positive and safe classroom where everyone feels valued. We are looking for someone who

You don't need years of experience, but you do need the right values. We're looking for someone with good communication skills and a reflective approach to learning. You'll be patient, empathetic, and calm under pressure. IT skills and a basic understanding of child development are helpful, but we can support you to build these if needed. What matters most is your willingness to learn and grow with us.

Do you have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, or are you willing to work towards functional skills? Can you work collaboratively as a trusted team member?

This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week. The contract is fixed-term until 31 August 2027.
