Job summary

Lift Tamworth is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to help pupils access lessons, build confidence and achieve their goals in a supportive, inclusive classroom.

You will work with teachers to plan activities, guide small groups, support wellbeing and personal care, and contribute to an environment where every child can learn.

This full-time role runs 37 hours a week and is fixed-term until 31 August 2027, with comprehensive training, progression routes and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, or able to work towards functional skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a team.
• Good communication and reflective approach to learning.

Responsibilities

• Support students to access lesson content and achieve learning goals, including those with SEND
• Plan and assess learning with teachers; guide individual or small group sessions
• Help students build independent learning skills and track progress
• Foster positive relationships and support wellbeing, behaviour and personal care
• Collaborate with staff, parents and carers to achieve the best outcomes for every student
• Prepare resources, trips and activities that meet diverse needs
