Job summary

Kent Teaching Solutions Ltd. is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant for a primary school near Maidstone. Both part-time and full-time positions are available, offering flexible hours to fit around other commitments.

You will support pupils under supervision of teaching staff, assist groups, prepare materials, help manage behaviour, monitor progress and contribute to a safe, engaging learning environment. DBS check is required or in place.

Responsibilities

• To work under the guidance of teaching staff to provide a safe and healthy environment for pupils.
• Supervise and assist individual and small groups of pupils in lessons.
• Help teachers prepare lesson materials and equipment, get the classroom ready for lessons and clear away after.
• Observe, record and report pupils progress to teachers.
• Help teachers manage class behaviour.
• Supervise group activities, including outings and sports events.
• Look after children who are upset or unwell.
