Job summary

Academics is hiring a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Maidstone. The role is full-time, 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, starting ASAP. You will support pupils across KS1 and KS2, working within a school team to implement learning activities and manage behaviour with a patient, supportive approach.

Pay will be determined by qualifications and experience in line with the client's policy. Driving is preferred and a current DBS is expected or willingness to apply for one.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience in a school setting.
• SEN experience is advantageous.
• DBS up-to-date or willing to apply for one.
• Driving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support children across KS1 and KS2.
• Assist with planning and delivering learning activities.
• Work as part of a school team to support pupils.
• Manage challenging behaviour in a calm and supportive manner.

Level 3 Teaching Assistant

We're currently looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a school in Maidstone.

The successful candidate will be supporting children across KS1 and KS2, so being adaptable and confident working with different year groups is important.

The right person will have:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Previous school-based experience
• SEN experience would be an advantage
• Confidence managing challenging behaviour
• A patient and supportive approach
• The ability to work well as part of a school team
• An up-to-date DBS, or be happy to apply for one
• Driving is preferred

Working hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Location: Maidstone

Hours: Full-time
