Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join Sheffield Academy from mid-September 2026. The role supports students across Key Stages 3 and 4, including SEN students, working with teaching staff to help learners reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to support learning in a secondary setting.
• Experience or interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners across KS3/KS4.

Responsibilities

• Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with their learning and development.
• Work with mainstream and SEN students, providing individual and small-group support.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group interventions where required.
• Help students develop confidence, independence and engagement.

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary academy in Sheffield from mid-September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking to develop their career within education. You will work closely with teaching staff to support students across the academy, working with both mainstream and SEN (Special Educational Needs) students.

The Role

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will provide support both inside and outside of the classroom, helping students to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

You will:

• Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with their learning and development.
