Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Southport from September 2026. You will work across EYFS/KS1/KS2, supporting pupils individually and in small groups, while collaborating closely with the class teacher.

The role is full-time from September 2026 until October Half Term, with potential extension for the right candidate. A DBS check (Enhanced) is required.

Qualifications

• Have recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
• Be confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, both in the classroom and through small group interventions.
• Experience supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND.
• Patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping children develop academically and socially.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills with teachers, parents and other professionals.
• Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the primary age range in the classroom and through interventions.
