Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student aged 11-16 with additional learning needs in a secondary school in the Huyton area. This is a full-time, term-time-only role starting ASAP.

You will work closely with teachers to provide personalised support, monitor progress, and ensure safeguarding. The ideal candidate has experience with SEND and a patient, empathetic approach.

• Experience supporting young people, preferably in secondary settings.
• 1:1 support experience or working with pupils with SEND is highly desirable.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student aged 11-16 with additional learning needs. This is a full-time, term-time-only position, ideal for someone who is committed to nurturing student development through personalised support.

Key Requirements

• Experience supporting young people, preferably within a secondary school setting
• Previous experience in a 1:1 support role or working with pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is highly desirable
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting individual student needs
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
