Rednal Hill Junior School is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to join our caring team. You will support teachers across the school, working with groups and individuals to promote learning and wellbeing.

The role focuses on providing inclusive support, fostering independence, and assisting with resources and safeguarding. Start ASAP, 32.5 hours/week, term-time only, fixed term to Aug 31, 2027.

  • Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Supervise pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes and educational visits as required.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and carers.
  • Support the school's values, policies and wider enrichment activities.

Grade: Grade A, SCP 3 - 8 (£25,614 - £27,709 Annually (FTE) pro rata

Grade B, SCP 9 - 22 (£28,153 - £34,811 Annually (FTE) pro rata

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Term Time Only (TTO)

Contract: Fixed Term until 31st August 2027

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to ensure that all children are engaged, supported and challenged to achieve their best.
