Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a Newcastle-based secondary school that is looking for a confident Teaching Assistant to support students across a range of subjects and SEN needs. The role is on a day-to-day basis with an ASAP start.

You will work in the classroom alongside teaching staff to foster an engaging, inclusive learning environment, build positive relationships with students, and adapt to a variety of lessons and pupil needs. PAYE rates apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Experience supporting students with SEN.
• Experience within a secondary school is desirable.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students.
• A flexible and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school based in Newcastle that is looking for a confident and supportive Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for someone who can build positive relationships with students and help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant for day-to-day work with an ASAP start. The successful Teaching Assistant will support students within the classroom, including pupils with SEN, while working alongside teaching staff to encourage engagement, manage behaviour and provide additional support where required.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
• Experience supporting students with SEN
• Experience within a secondary school is desirable
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students
• A flexible and adaptable approach
