Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for an Oldham-based school in Greater Manchester. The role is full-time, term-time, permanent, with a start date of Monday 5th October 2026 or ASAP.

Salary ranges £525–£700 per week, dependent on experience, with hours 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday. You will support pupils with special educational needs, delivering tailored support to help access the curriculum and develop confidence in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting or mentoring children or young people.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Maths & English or equivalent).
• Patience, approachability and ability to build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom, 1:1 or with small groups.
• Help deliver engaging lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Assist pupils with additional needs, promoting confidence, communication, and positive behaviour.

To be eligible you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS registered with the Update Service
