Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is working with a mainstream Primary School in Newcastle to recruit a KS2 Teaching Assistant for a long-term role starting after October half term.

You will support Years 3–6 with 1:1 and small group interventions in Maths and English, helping pupils build confidence and academic progress. The ideal candidate will have a TA qualification (Level 2/3) and prior UK primary school experience, with strong communication and classroom management skills.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering 1:1 and small group interventions across KS2.
• Good understanding of the KS2 curriculum, especially Maths and English.
• Experience in a UK primary school setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions in Maths and English.
• Support pupils across Years 3 to 6 to develop confidence and independence.
• Help pupils progress in their learning through KS2 activities.

Salary: £93-£110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can support pupils in developing their confidence, independence and academic abilities throughout Key Stage 2.

The school is looking to take on a KS2 Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, starting after October half term. The successful KS2 Teaching Assistant will be working across Years 3 to 6, delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions in Maths, English and other areas of the primary curriculum, while supporting pupils of varying abilities to make progress in their learning.

The successful KS2 Teaching Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Experience working with children in a UK primary school setting
• Experience delivering 1:1 and small group interventions across KS2
• A good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly Maths and English
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A patient, flexible and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning
