Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learners in EYFS and KS1 in Macclesfield. The role is full-time, term-time only, with start date in November 2026, offering variety across schools and opportunities for permanent placement.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 2/3 TA qualification, experience with primary-aged children, and strong communication skills. DBS checks apply, with weekly pay and competitive rates.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is required or desirable.
• Experience with primary-aged children is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication and patience are essential to build relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of pupils in EYFS, adapting approaches for different ages and abilities.
• Assist with planning and delivery of engaging lessons and activities.
• Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups, including children with additional needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENDCo, and support staff.

Teaching Assistant – EYFS- KEY STAGE 1

Macclesfield

Full-Time (5 days per week) | Term-Time Only | Start Date: November 2026

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team, working in EYFS. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their role and is passionate about helping children of all ages achieve their potential.

About the Role

• Support the learning and development of pupils in EYFS adapting your approach to suit different age groups and abilities
• Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons and activities
• Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups, including children with additional needs
• Help promote positive behaviour and a safe, nurturing classroom environment
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENDCo, and support staff

About You

• Has experience working with primary-aged children (previous TA experience desirable but not essential)
• Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification)
• Is patient, caring, and flexible, with excellent communication skills
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
