Job summary

Aspris Clay Hill School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our Education team. You will support across key stages, work with the class teacher, help with pupil behaviour, and model positive engagement to foster learning in a nurturing environment.

The role requires experience in classrooms and a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent). We offer training and progression, and a DBS check is paid for as part of the application process.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting in a classroom setting is preferred.
  • Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) appropriate to the teaching and learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised educational assistance to a specific pupil in need of additional support.
  • Build rapport with the pupil and implement strategies to enhance learning.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents and professionals to create a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Aspris Clay Hill School is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant /Learning Support Assistant to join our Education team! We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistants, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the children with their work and supporting with pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.

Clay Hill School is an independent specialist day school for young people with autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) and associated complex needs. We provide education for young people aged 5 to 19 years.

As a Teaching Assistant, your primary objective will be to provide personalised educational assistance to a specific pupil in need of additional support. Your role will involve building a strong rapport with the pupil, understanding their individual needs, and implementing strategies to enhance their learning experience. You will work collaboratively with the school staff, parents, and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the pupil's overall development and success.
