Aspris Children’s Services is recruiting a Teaching Assistant on a bank basis to join the Education team at Clay Hill School in Southampton. You will provide personalised educational support to a pupil with ASC and complex needs, helping their learning journey.
You will work with staff, parents and professionals to create a nurturing environment and promote development. A Level 2 qualification and classroom experience are required; DBS checks are paid and progression is supported.

Clay Hill School is an independent specialist day school for young people with autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) and associated complex needs. We provide education for young people aged 5 to 19 years.
As a Teaching Assistant, your primary objective will be to provide personalised educational assistance to a specific pupil in need of additional support. Your role will involve building a strong rapport with the pupil, understanding their individual needs, and implementing strategies to enhance their learning experience. You will work collaboratively with the school staff, parents, and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the pupil's overall development and success.

The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting in a classroom setting, have a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) which is appropriate to the teaching and learning environment of learners and young adults.
