Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking adaptable SEN Teaching Assistants for day-to-day supply across primary schools in Okehampton and surrounding West Devon. You will provide 1:1 support and small-group assistance to pupils with SEND, helping them stay engaged during lessons.

The role offers flexible hours aligned with school timetables (approximately 8:30am–3:30pm, term time), weekly PAYE payments, and the opportunity to gain broad experience across a range of local schools. DBS enhanced clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with primary-aged children with additional needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or complex needs).
  • Patient, resilient, and proactive approach to managing behaviour and supporting learning.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with local school staff.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
  • Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications, or background experience in care/youth work, are highly valued.

Teaching Assistant : Day:to:Day Supply (Primary Schools)

Are you looking for flexible classroom work across Okehampton that fits your schedule while making a real impact? We are seeking adaptable, compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to provide day:to:day supply cover and 1:1 support across mainstream primary schools in Okehampton and the surrounding West Devon areas.

Role and Responsibilities

What We Offer
  • Pay: GBP92.56 : GBP95.00 per day (paid weekly via PAYE).
  • Hours: Standard school hours (approx. 8:30 AM : 3:30 PM, term time only).
