Job summary

Hoople Ltd in Hereford is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join the Study Programme for 16-19 year olds (and up to 24 with an Educational Health Care Plan). Up to 30 hours per week, term-time arrangement to be agreed, at Auxilium House, Legion Way, Hereford HR1 1LN.

The role focuses on supporting learners with social, emotional and mental health needs and disabilities, helping them toward further education, work, or apprenticeships.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting learners with social, emotional and mental health needs is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Support in the classroom to assist learning activity and behaviour management.
• Assist in implementing study plans and activities for students with EHCPs where applicable.

Hoople's Study Programme is aimed at 16-19yr olds, and those up to the age of 24 with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP), who struggle in mainstream education, supporting learners with social, emotional, and mental health needs and disabilities.

Our aim is to support these young people, who are not yet ready to enter further education, work, or onto an apprenticeship and help prepare them for the next steps in their lives.

We are looking for an additional Teaching Assistant to support in the classroom.

You will need a positive approach, an ability to motivate and inspire, along with creative and organisational skills.
